A second later, the reel starts to shiver as if an earthquake bit the hook. Then the thing underwater pulls with all force. I grasp multiple times at the edges of the cliff, trying not to meet my end in the infinite depths.
The dragging stops and a strange creature climbs to the surface with the big fish in its jaws. The monster itself is technically a fish too, but equals the size of a pig and has two tiny legs at the back.
And it speaks.
"That was a great match kid, but next time try harder. I almost got bored there.

It finally reaches the icy throne, gives it a serious glance, and not too gracefully climbs up on it.

Now pay attention, there are 3 levers in that ship:
- The Proto-Fusionistic Rendundator is the smallest, has 3 positions, and you need to set it to the last one, 3.
- The Maximum Out-take Capacitor has 5 positions and you need to set that to 4.
- Finally, the Extrinsically-balanced Equilibrifier has 4 positions, and the one you need is 2.
You then need to hit the Power button, and also give it a little kick in the command panel; That way the ship will know it's in good hands.
Of course, you will also need some kind of Power source. Something hot, star-hot.

Old trade secrets always do their job. Whatever was clogging the mechanisms, it cleared up. You can hear the gears in the control panel shifting, gradually ticking and tocking through the walls and towards the back of the pod.

You swipe the blade on your finger. Strands of crimson liquid sprawl out. Once they meet the sky they float up towards it, like very creamy smoke. The Hungry Star smells them, and it comes.
It rushes towards the planet at a constant pace, without any sways or wobbles. As it gets closer you realise how enormous it is. Its beauty is so overwhelming that you're close to being carbonised, turned to ashes. The water around boils.
Without other hesitation, The Hungry Star sips the little streams of blood in a swirling vortex... Then it shrinks. It feels almost like it realised the damage that it was doing to the planet, so it starts getting smaller and smaller until you are both the same size. It still bakes any object surrounding it, but at least not the whole planet.

You step inside the Pod and try to stick closer to the control board, so the Star can have enough space to enter. You don't want to imagine what bumping into it would feel like.
As soon as it enters, the Star goes straight to the Power Source Shaft, as if it already knew what you wanted. Once it places itself properly inside the shaft you slowly approach it and close the trapdoor. You now have the Power Source to get out of here.
When you turn your back to it and walk away, the Star lets out a brighter flash of light, and emits an unsettling vibrant sound. It almost tells you: "If you don't hurry, I will need more blood."

You step inside the Pod, open the Power Shaft's window to face the intense heat waves, then clutch the knife and do what you have to. The Star drinks it directly from the wound, leaving a sensation of painful heat on the rest of your skin. It seems Pleased. You wait for it to settle back in the chamber, then you close the window and turn back.
